A warrior poet from Bani Tamim, who bore witness to the poverty and drought that befell his tribe, the early beginnings of the Islamic state, so he was obliged to wield his sword raiding the caravans of the rich merchants to give the needy, a crime for which the authorities deemed him an outlaw, so he escaped to Persia and met Sa’eed Bin Othman who convinced him to join the Muslim army heading to conquer Khorasan.
